| It seems like nowadays everything has to be 'extreme'. A tattoo of the devil on your back, 16 earrings, or slammed 'to the ground'. I like a bug lowered a little, on cool wheels, but if I can't go through a dip at speed, up it comes. What actually gets me is the people who put convertible decklids on a sedan. The vents clash radically. BTW, tattooing is passe. The new thing now is scarring. John, I hope your son doesn't end up wanting one of those! My half-a-penny. |

| I struggle with this......my split is slightly lowered in the rear and is lowered in the front mostly with the spindles and a slight turn on the beam. It is by no means "slammed". I myself dont like the broke axle look in the rear. Funny thing is no purist has ever told me that I need to lift it back to stock...But I have had many many many guys tell me that I need to make it lower  . Having said that, my split is my daily driver...highways, city roads, back roads and dirt roads. Every once in a while my wife jumps in and takes it to the store. It is well used. This is not to say I dont respect the look of a super slammed vw, fact is if I were a kid again maybe I would sit lower. The problem is as I get close to 40 I feel silly riding around in something so low, like Im mini-trucking . Plus, In my profession my client would think I was a joke.  |

I Drive my split ATLEAST three or four times a week...
I could drive it daily but having four VW's I keep them in rotation
I could care less what everyone else is doing, I have done my car the way it is because I wanted it that way.
Sooner than later my car will be getting smoothed over and some paint so I can start nicing it up a little... but it will NEVER get raised a hair
I would drive my split up ANY driveway or down ANY road... you just point the way

That's the most rediculous looking driveway I think i've ever seen! Soccer mom Sally will high center her damn mini van on that thing. That's just stupid! I just wouldn't live there. I will actually find a place with a nice smooth driveway not a freakin 45 degeree angle for god sakes. It's all about the stance, the lower the better. I know that'll piss a lot of people off, but i'll sacrafice were I can go and ride quality to get my ride the way I want it to look. No mines not a true "Daily Driver", so that does help a bit, but it's only a pan, it kind of just skips over stuff anyway! Everything looks better dumped, and tucked. If you don't have to notch your spring plates, it's not low enough yet!
Slowlow, your split ROCK'S! Never raise that car! It looks perfect just like it is. Don't mind all the "Purists", and guys who say there too old for a pounded car at only 40. That's still pretty young in my book. Of course to each his own, but...Mini Truckin? HOW DARE YOU!!! |

| Alright, alright, fair enough, just my own opinion! I'm not really trying to piss anyone off in here. But that driveway is still rediculous, and Slowlow your Split is still sick as hell! |

That driveway is kind of hard to believe. I just ran "steep driveway" in Google images, have no idea where it is. I was thinking it might even be a photoshop..... but looks pretty real.
Maybe it is in the new "Hummer Estates" in CA or something......... |

| I'll have to get a picture, but the house next door to my parents place in Jersey is kinda similar to that, although it's black top not concrete. Thoes people have a Firebird, and I have no idea how they get it up there in the snow. Of course the best part of that house is it had to cost a pretty penny and it doesn't even have a garage! |

| When you lower the rear that way, it makes the front look not lowered. I like a nice low front, with racer stance rear. |
