Imo They started to use the welded wheels in 1950 ! (Lemmertz)
I have seen only riveted wheels before 1/50 no welded wheels !
So they where using these wheels both from 1950 up
I have seen several original cars with mixed wheels !

hey guido,
i just picked up a 3.48 Lemmerz wheel wich is welded. if its needed i can take some pics.
