you should blast that with plastic or walnut shell media, will save you a whole lot of time, get some por-15 for the pan

I bead blasted my pan and it turned out nice. Pan metal is heavy gauge and will not warp nearly as easily as 18 ga body panels. You really don't have to be as gentle as walnut shells are. Looking good so far.
