I don't have the ability to snap or host my own digi pics, so I snag them wherever I can. This was taken at the NH VW Club show a couple of weeks ago.

quick breakdown: unrestored, serial numbered series 1 Meyers Manx. Original gel-coat fiberglass body, full interior including headliner in Manx hard top. His name is 'Maximus."

Thanks for the kind words, all. Even with my 'measley' single-port 1600 with Kadrons & a merged pipe, it scoots pretty good. It's still slow enough to keep me out of trouble. After I reassemble the nose over my new fuel tank, the assembly of my slightly warmer dual-port motor can begin.

The climate here in upstate NY isn't always too much better than the UK, btw. My running joke is that I have a car that I get to drive only about 30 - 40 days out of the year...... my Jetta picks up the difference. :D
