Some un-nice person has attempted to remove my key assembly quite violently from my steering column. Everything from the key area to the wheel itself is destroyed. Question, has anyone here tried to retro fit the upper portion of an other year type 3 or the upper column from a type 1?
any info is appreciated.

| Not 100 % sure but I think the 68-71 are the same... for sure I think the 68 would work. The housings are longer and the ignition switch/ wires/ connection are different than the type 1 so I do not think attemting to retrofit a type 1 housing is a good idea. |
