Yeah, good information. Check this out!! I'm cancelling my Paypal account.

Quote: I just had my account frozen. payPal didn't like my free speech. So I called them about it and posted it on the Internet. You should listen to it and hear them squeal about their rights when I told them I was recording it and going to publish it.

Here's the audio... this thing freakin rocks!! I love it, and Paypal can shove it up their :!:  :?: :!: . :x

And to think that this is now that it is part of EBay...
Now what do we use? This blows.

What city is the buyer in? Perhaps some Samba citizen would like to go over to his house on your behalf and take back the fenders? If it was me I'd rather give them to some other Samba member than let that lowlife keep them.
I bet you would find they are already on his car. Or maybe he's changed his mind and will pay the cash on the spot to keep them.

In my opinion, you need to take the user's name and address that was sent to you from Paypal and contact the credit card company.

To the best of my knowledge, credit card companies are not allowed to issue refunds without return of the product. Which means he may have lied and said he returned the items, which is fraud.

I would be interested to see the content of the email Paypal sent to you regarding this transaction.

Paypal is a pain sometimes but like anything else they are in business to make money. If you don't get more then 100.00 then you don't get charged any fees. If you go over 100.01 then you get charged a fee and have to change your account status. After a year of paying fees it adds up to thousands of dollars. They charge up to 4.5%+.30 for international and 2.9%+.30 for the states.

They are like a Credit Card companies, but they only charge transaction to transaction. They don't charge a fee unless there is activity unlike CC company they charge evey month no matter what.

People do chargebacks on credit cards all the time legit and non-legit. Most people end up keeping what they bought and the store ends up losing. They write it off as a loss on taxes. I had to do that last year. I sold a set of 48 IDA's and let him use CC, after about a week he called the CC co. and told them that they were not the carbs he was suppose to get and that they were a different size (There is no mistaking IDA's). Anyway they charged back 1200.00 off my account (straight from bank account). Then I called him to get my carbs back, no answer phone calls or emails and one certified letter. I called his CC co. and talk to someone there they told me that I had to work it out with the CC holder. So Last year I just wrote it off as a loss due to fraud...

I had one with Paypal that someone tryed that but paypal made him send the item to them and then when it was resolved then gave me the item back (after 8 months!!!)

Anyway don't give up keep bugging Paypal about this and they will (in time do something about it) but you can't wait you have to keep calling and emailing cause they have these time limit policies. Don't give up and just say screw it because you will get you money or the item through paypal. It just takes them forever...

Paypal sucks.

I sold a near MINT old lego set minus the box in June (so it wasnt perfect). I was proud of this set. Spent extra time taking awesome pictures and got them hosted in large size for close up views on ebay. I let it go for a mere $50 for a nice old large space station.

After I sold a bunch of stuff I was back to being busy with school etc. I list and sell when ever I find breaks to be able to get it all done at once. Anyway I was done with that iteration of stuff to sell and hadnt used ebay or paypal for a few weeks. I didnt check my email account that I use for paypal or the paypal account itself during that time either.

Then one day I log in to find out my account is limited. Turns out the jerk that bought the lego set was not happy. Said it wasnt what he expected. I had missed the complaint process and so my account was already locked.

That item was NICE and there is no way I trust this guy to send it back in one peice. I am not giving a refund. It wasnt even that much but I dont care. He was too much of a coward and jerk to email me hiself. He just logged the complaint with paypal and I missed it. I think hes trying to scam me thru paypal to keep it and get his money back. And Im the one that gets locked out. Paypal sucks.

All businesses suffer loses and theft. It is part of doing business.

Out of the hundreds of paypal transactions you are bound to get a sour deal. Stop using paypal and you will lose more money from less customers than from one or two sour deals.

However when selling a high dollar item like a vehicle I accept deposit via paypal and the rest bank wire to protect myself.
