I leave in 10 days for Basic Training, and will not have access to the Net for 8 or more weeks. Will I lose my acount if I dont log in in that 8 weeks? The reason I am asking is that Hotmail cancels any e-mail acount that is dorment for 30 days. I dont want to lose my Samba screen name too.

I doubt you will lose your account. There are so many people that are members that probably haven't logged in in over a year. I'm sure Everett will let you know for sure though.

Your Samba account will still be here. (We won't let you leave. :wink: )

When you come back, if you need to get a new email address from hotmail, you will just need to update your Samba account.

Yeah why couldnt I be allergic like my friend. He doesnt have to have the shot, I dont think its fair. Isnt Basic set up so that all recruits are seen as equals? Why dont they invent a shot so that those select few who are alergic can recive the same enjoyment, and pain on the Grinder like the rest of us poor kids? I know we have the technology, Heck just give them a Tetnius shot, close enough, right?

Now whats all this I hear about Sea Bats?

Hey Ratt, what service you going into? Sounds like Navy. I'm currently an Aviation Electrician's Mate (3rd Class Petty Officer) in the Navy, but was a 31-U Signal Corps System Specialist (E-4 Specialist) when I was in the Army great to hear that you're joining the ranks, what ever service you going into! What's you're Rate\M.O.S\Job going to be? Congrats, & good luck! 8)

That all sounds familiar I just got out of the Army as a 31F (Signal Puke) but my dad was an AirDale (Aviation Tech) for the Navy.
Why in the hell would you give up Land Duty for the Army and go to Sea for six months at a time with the Navy, Oh wait, I remember T-Rats now. At least the Navy feed you guys good.

you also forgot FTX, Korea, 8 Mile road march (full battle rattle), PT everyday, oh! & getting shot at was ALWAYS a favorite!
