I've got a gorgeous rare stock 1972 Super Beetle Special Edition (Baja Champion) that I had restored 8 years ago and barely drove it 10 000 km (aprox 6000 miles) since. It's almost mint other than a couple of minor dents in the front fender and hood.
It was appraised last year at $11 200 CAD (about $8500 USD).
I would like to sell it to someone who knows their stuff as this is a rare car (from what I'm told and the research I've done). I now have 2 boys both under the age of 2 and it simply isn't practical for me anymore.
I bought a '74 thing lproject ast year and I've only driven it once so far this year. Pathetic I know.
If any of you out there could help me fix my price, I'd appreciate it.
I've setup a simple web site with all the details. http://www3.sympatico.ca/matt_abbott/SEBeetle.htm
Thanks for your help (or interest).

It's a beautiful car, $8500US isn't that outrageous. Unfortunately there are quite a few folks on The Samba that believe anything made after 1964 is worthless but don't let the small minded get in your way. It's worth it. I might suggest that you get some better pictures on your mini site. If you don't have a good digital camera, find a friend who does and shoot a bunch of pics on a nice sunny day. Get it from every angle, and shoot close-ups of anything questionable. It's alot easier for someone to make a decision and get excited about a car when every angle has been covered. Also, detail the car well, wipe the finger prints off the glove box, and make the car shine. You want to portray the car to the best of your ability. One last tip, when shooting pics of your car, a simple contrasting background is the best.
good luck
