I was told by the previous owner that this single was a parts runner for a shop in Tucson that dealt in Italian motorcycles and such:
Does anyone remember this from back when?

Which barndoor?
This thing has "barn doors" all around.
Not quite the same charm as hand painted signwriting on an original split bus.

Thought that was a shoddy picture i put up so have added some close ups for ya. Its written in french on one side and flemish on the other due to the belgians being a bit them and us and i guess georges didnt want to upset anyone.

Noted.
I think Beatnicks bus deserves mention here though, as the signwriting applied to his bus in the early '70's is so traditional it amost looks out of place. Even though it's a newer model bus, it's a superb example of the style of signwriting employed in the '50's and '60's. |

| you're right. it's very nice signwriting. it actually looks out of place on that bus. i think it's called an anachronism. |

Having been to belgium many times i came to the conclusion that they dont do modern, they did that in 1958 with the atomium and stopped there.I feel its a case of "if it aint broke dont fix it" syndrome,So why go new when old writing looks cool, and maybe georges kant had splits before with the same writing.Belgium is a great nostalgic place with a real feel for the past and lets hope it stays that way.
Sorry for putting pics in the split section anyway(bet you liked it tho)

This is the Posh Chocolat bus. I logo'd it last year. Use it all year long for catering, deliveries, ect...Not an original logo bus. But it is mine and my business, serves me and my business well. This 61 is doing what it was built to do 47 years ago
