It's a German slang word meaning neither male nor female. In some regions it's a term to describe someone who's homosexual.
(fyi, just in case you wanted to call yourself Zwitterman or something like that)
As applied to VWs, like stated above, the cars made between Oct 52 and Mar 53. They have all oval window parts on them but a split rear window. So the hardcore split enthusiasts in Germany don't consider them real splits. And they aren't really oval windows either. Neither split, nor oval. |
