Fugly beater? It looks like a nice DD Panel to me. So, the lights are "Incorrect" , no big deal.

| there are alot of small things that come together to make this bus fugly, many of which can't be seen in the photos. the tail, roof and door lights are fixed easy enough, but i think those headlights go a long way torward fugly. |

| Good luck with that one, man! The headlights remind me of the subtle hint that some people give girls "Got your headlights on?"... stickin way out, eh? ha |

| Those headlights are part of the Marilyn Monroe package. You ever see those early pics of her where her tits are packed into those conical torpedo bras? I've actually seen a few Buses with those shape of headlights and buckets on them. There is a Green Barndoor with a Skoda engine in it that seems to have the same buckets on it. |

LOL. Yep 2 splits split rag had some weird aftermarket headlight upgrade.
That panel dont look too bad. The headlights look kinda crazy like those early DKW bus copycat things. Eitherway, its pretty cool. dont look too bad and has the bumpers. Its bad ass.
whats that bumpersticker say? Enjoy Bong?

| "Enjoy Being" but looking at those lights all over that thing I think that it should say "Please Pass, Enjoying a Bong." |

that sticker is part of the standard eugene oregon bus package. the package also includes empty bottles of popular herbal extracts, a filthy foam or futon matress, a story about a dead show, and the combined smells of mildew and old incense.
the bumpers were the best thing about the bus, probably wouldn't have bought it without them. funny thing about all the added tail lights is that they didn't even bother to wire the brake light in the decklid when they did the custom harness. all those extra lights but no third brake light(it would be a third on this bus)? |

i thought i had seen a photo of a bus with sort of similar headlights, but i couldn't find it. those fuckers are on there, they welded them solid all the way around. looking from the inside it looks like they may have cut the lip off the outside edge of the stock bucket too. except for the door mounted signals i'll probably roll it as is for a while.
i'd like to know what the headlights came from, i need to replace one of the retaining rings. |

| not a bad panel overall, it won't take much to make you look at your bus without cringing! they're the tyres that i want when i get a '66 with the white writing on them, i would love really wide smoothies on the back with the hub caps off 8) |

| nah, took me 6-7 years or so to talk the owner out of it. she let it sit on the street all that time. i had given up on it but was house sitting for a friend who lived close to her, so asked as i was passing by. it happened that she had put the battery in backward and it wouldn't run, and a wheel cylinder had given out, so she was ready to sell rather than spend more $ on a bus she didn't drive. i am going to sell the motor out of it as i'll be going back to a 36. it's a 1600 dp, ict's, engle cam, berg full flow, spin on filter, w/2800 miles. |
