Combo's are right.
If it were drag racing i have some clue, but for street use? no idea.
Stock bars will hold up the car, but will they do what you want is the question. you can easily get away with putting a 26mm maybe as big as a 28mm bar if your car is heavy. (a guess on my part)
adjustable spring plates? expect to loose a good 3/4" maybe even as much as an inch. Althoug you can just make things that much more narrow. Nice to have adjusters for initial set up, but after that??????
for my drag racing, i have non adjustables, and i have to spend the time and adjust as needed. but usually only takes twice to do the final set up for me. if you get new bars, install let settle and readjust. but thats me.

dont know if you remember a ghia that was in the mags a year or two ago that was under construction. front v6 audi turbo motor, 9" rear end, pro street looking thing with gob o hp planned. the owner just got his intrest up again and borrowed my trailer over the weekend to deliver it back to the body shop. This thing is going to be awsome.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yeah, it does make sense.... I understand this venture isn't for the average Joe, Sam or Bob, however I am sure this is something I can handle. I was talking to Dick Nuss at EMS this weekend about it. He said the same thing as far as switching bars and getting a late model set of swing arms. There are just so many combinations to consider. Are the stock bars going to be sufficient for the street, should I get the SAW adjustable plates? I am so confused on where to begin with this mess. I am trying to figure out what all the possible options are so I know that I make the right decision. I am not married to these wheels (2000 boxster 16x7 and 16x6), I just want something different. I don't want to be another ghia with alloys, BRMs or 5 spokes. Thanks for the advice. Whatever else you can offer would be great.......................

Remember that ghia Mike it looks like it's going to be trick with that combo,is he going to run coil overs in the front or how's he doing it?
