Okay, this isn't exactly a VW question. I found a rare set of Empi's for my Datsun Roadster, but Empi wheels are VW parts, so maybe someone here can help. As far as I know, these are the only rims Empi ever made for a Japanese car, and they were used for racing by Bob Sharp and Bob Bondurant, famous for his racing school.

Anyhow, I'm hoping you guys can answer a few questions about these EMPI 2 pc. rims. They are 8 spoke, 4 lug, 14" X 5.5", zero offset.

First of all, I haven't been able to find the o-ring? I know one other guy that runs EMPI's and he runs innertubes because he says they leak. I think he was unable to find the o-rings. The question is, where can I find large o-rings.

Second, I'd like to get these fully polished, and am looking for any good recommendations in the Northern Cali area.

The only other problem I'm having at this point is finding the proper lug nuts. What size lugs do you guys run? I think most VW's use lug bolts, but don't some run nuts? If so, can you tell me what the thread size is? My car runs 7/16"x20 thread count, and I need short shank style lug nuts with a 5/8" diameter shank.

Sorry for the non VW question, but we're all car guys eh? Any thoughts and insights are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe

EMPI made 8 spoke rims for other cars, exactly what I don't remember. I ran OG 5 spokes about 8 years ago and just used tubes.
