Does anyone know if this is a VW bumper or is it just some aftermarket mod?

That appears to be a "Briz" bumper (spelling?)

There were advertised in the VW magazines for a long time. I am not sure if they are still available.

That looks like a Bryce front bumper to me. They also made a matching rear to go with it. They are kinda ugly but have that cool thing going for them anyway.

Everett is right, that's a Briz bumper. They are ugly as hell and belong in a dumpster as far as I'm concerned. Or you guys might want to use on your lady as a sexual aid, but that's your business...
