Looking for some dimensions for my wifes 74 super beetle
1. Length from the rear of the car to the back frame bow.
2. The width of the metal frame for the rear window.

The width of the window frame is 33.5 inches. I measured that straigt across at the center of the frame.
I can't get the other dimension for you because my top frame is here in Minnesota and the body of my car is in Wisconsin. :)
Can I ask why you need to know these measurments? Just curious. |

I'm replacing the top and wanted to make sure that the metal frame wasn't out of shape.
I'm more surious on the dimension of the frame from top to bottom |

| hi the top to bottom measurement on you 74 convertible window metal frame should be 11" innermost diameter( that is where the rubber seal hooks over) the 71 thru 74 are notoious for stretching top to bottom i have seen them stretch to 12 1/2" due to the top material shrinking with age..we make that metal rim 1000 at a time that is how many are stretched so check it close and prefit the glass in the frame on the work bench before cutting the hole in the top for the window we sell at least 5 or 6 a year wher people do not do this then cut the hole to the stretched dimensions and then have to buy a new top and headliner..need any help chuck/chucks convertible parts 8047845688 :lol: |
