I have a set of these that I'd like to install but first I'd like to hear the pros and cons before I do.

bushings for what, the springplate, the trailing arm, or the front beam?

The only cons to using them in the rear (arms, plates) I guess would maybe be that you may develop a sweak now and again. They are stiffer than stock so in theory you get a stiffer setup, less out of whack movement in the arms. I really see no downside to using them unless you want a smooth as you can get stock ride feel (probably not if you posting here).

For the front beam, I have no expeirience But in some beams you have no choice but to use them. I've been lucky and and have came across some good beams so I have not had to change out bearings bushings as of yet. I do have the 'thane spacers/seals (between arm/beam) and I can tell you that I'm not impressed with them. I also tried the boots for the tie rod ends, those were a joke and lasted a few days before totally slpitting and contaminating my ends :(

I have used the Red urethane bushings, I thought the grease dried out pretty fast. It also seemed like the arms fit to tightly with them. I installed the Saco Delrin Race beam bushings, In my personal opinion The saco bushing are a far better product for a few dollars more.

i installed grease fittings in my beam. no squeaks at all yet. my only probelm is my arms seemed to be a bit loose, not tight...

squeek, squeek, squeek! cant keep enough white moly grease on those damn things. I know they are supposed to last longer than rubber and are easier to keep clean in the beam than the bearings but I was glad to get rid of all my urethane and go back to the quiet stuff. my bug started to sound pretty beat. Now I just keep the beam bearings clean every couple of months and run solid trans mounts in the rear. We'll see about the spring plates.

Which squeek the most? the springplate or the front beam bushings? (URETHANE OF COARSE)

I think I'll go rubber in the rear but if the front wont squeek too much I'll go urethane.

Has anyone tried using Mobil 1 synthetic grease? I have used it with great results.

I also use Mobil 1 gear oil and engine oil. Works great, quiet transmission and cooler operating temperature in the engine.
