I have seen these for sale. how is the quality of them? which kind of stock key blank can be used. i have seen some photoes and are looking good but these have a repro key with black plastic end, that is not so nice on an old bus.

i got repo front door handles for my beetle in like '94 and it had the ugly plastic keys. i cut the palstic off and there was a VW logo 'cut out' key underneath. i dont know if thats the case with these, but its possible. |

Peppe I looked at the pic and it seems to be the early key being used. If so it would be an easy re-key to yours. How much is the handle? Al |

i thank that these are a bit rare. there are used also on >55 oval beetles. (little adjusting needed)
personally i havd to rechrome old ones and buy NOS tumblers to have these work. i am now deciding.... continuing to restore or buy repop? |

I would not consider them rare, it may be hard to find these in perfect used condiction, i would consider the corect hamdles for barndoors and split bugs rare. |
