Here's my 67 before:
After:
3" narrowed beam, CB drop spindles and discs. 15x5-1/2 Fuchs in front, 6s in the back.
Just finished getting the beam and all done, figured I'd post a few pics up and see what y'all had to say. Enjoy. |

| Yeah that is super sweet looking. Just more proof that the stance and wheels can do wonders for a car! And yeah is that OG paint? If it is I am really impressed! |

Have you thought about dropping the rear a bit? I think a little less rake would even look better! Nice start!

| Actually, I`d raise the front a half inch and swap to short axles. |

Hey cool, glad you guys like it. The paint is not o.g., but close, I think it was resprayed once before. It actually has more "texture" than faded original paint would.
I thought about dropping the back, but not sure if I want to. I may try one spline someday, but I like a bit of rake. I think the side pic is a little misleading, the rear is on the high part of the driveway.
I have a motor to put in over the winter, and the interior needs a little sprucing: a new rubber mat, some panels, and scrub up the dash real well are in order. Also have a Hurst shifter and old Sun tach from the 70s.
Short axles could be in order soon, too. Good call. |

great job. it is amazing what a mean rake and a set of wheels can do for a car. it looks bad ass.
i'd leave it as is. |

Thanks for the compliments from all. :)
Bklyn63-I found picked up the set for around $600. They're not prefect, and I need metching 6s (one is an early, other is not), but it's all good for now.
obus-I'll catch up with ya one of these times... |

| Are you gonna buff the paint out? |
|
| javabug |

| I don't think buffing would work out too well, there's some spots on the car that have a lot of texture in the paint (cracks and stuff) that would probably just collect compound and make a mess more than anything. Its hard to see in the pic, the paint isn't as smooth and uniform as it looks. I think its because it has been resprayed; a buddy of mine has a Java 65 with og paint, and they look like the same car, but his paint looks like it would buff out because its basically smooth, just really oxidized. |
