Hi everyone.
I have been lurking for a while now and decided it was time introduce myself. My name is Guy Thomas and I grew up out in Apple Valley, CA. Since leaving the service I got myself a respectable job down here in Los Angeles. But as everyone constantly reminds me, you can take the kid out of the desert, but you can't take the desert out of the kid. Soooo.. In a search to return to my dirt loving roots I picked up a 4x4 toyota and quickly realized that was not the vehicle for me. I love blazing down the dirt roads at high speed and a giant lifted truck just doesn't seem to do the trick (can anyone say high center of gravity?) That and the multi-thousand dollar repair bills (destroyed ring and pinion, etc.) have convinced me that the Baja Bug might be just what the doctor ordered.

I really enjoy forums like these and firmly believe that they one of the best features of the Internet. Keeping with the theme of sharing knowledge and resources, I run a videography business and have all kinds of camera and sound equipment,. I also have exstensive knowledge of computers and the WWW, so please feel free to ask me if you need anything, hosted, encoded, edited, etc...

Looking forward to intelligent discussion and some off-road fun eventually.
Thanks!

Guy Thomas

I can't help much in the "intelligent discussion" category, but if you want to know Murphy's laws of Volkswagens, i'm your man. been there, done that, broke the part, the tool, the t-shirt....
