Hi All,
I'm new to the offroad Veedub scene and have been looking at parts for doing a baja conversion. I wondered if anyone has noticed that Summit Racing sells "Pro Comp" brand shocks in their medium and top 'o' the line versions with extended travel for $34. They have a couple styles listed in their catalog for 14 inch travel or 15 inch travel. They are intended for lifted trucks/jeeps/ etc.. I know for you guys running flat out through the desert for miles upon miles these may not work but for guys like me in the hills where cheap and long travel is about all it takes to work decent these may be a good alternative. since it is their mid and high grade stuff, and most likely valved for a 2 ton truck, these might be reasonable quality and work ok on the street too.

Prolly pretty stiff though, like a Rancho. |

I was figuring that stiff would be better on a daily driver. Are the shocks most people are using valved light? although I guess most daily drivers don't need 14 or 15 inch travel shocks..
