First of all, many thanks to Samba for establishing this 411-412 forum.
Greetings fellow Type 4 enthusiast. Just wanted y'all to to know that there is another 411-412 forum. It's got a little more info than is posted here. Drop by and visit. There are some great threads on refurb'ing your Type 4, some general info, and a good bit of good-humored ribbing.
As you are aware, our beloved Type 4 is the outcast of the ACVW family. How many times have you seen it in VW Trends (twice, in the same issue, in about 24 issues by my count). There is a small group of us who have set out to bring what is in all reality the best ACVW to the forefront. The process by which we mean to do this is by taking our 411-412 and getting them back in shape. Then, attend/enter every VW show we can. We don't want to be grouped with Type 3s anymore, albeit a great VW. (How did I get on this soap box?). Anyway, drop by our other forum and check it out.
