Is there any demand or need for 411 owner's manuals?
If anyone lives near Oklahoma, there are 2 411s in the salvage yard. One is missing the front clip from the midlle of the front fender forward. The other looked complete, but it's in high weeds. |

| YES, If you could snag them I am sure you could sell them for some $$$. Not much, But I think they are going for $10 or $15 on the Samba. I dont think Bentley is reproducing them. |

I am talking about Owner's Manuals. You know, for the glovebox? I bought a Haynes 411 repair manual and sold it at the Tulsa show for $5. Made someone very happy. |

Yes I know what your speaking of. I believe it is Bentley who is reproducing owners manuals. They had a web site for a long time with a whole list of their VW service and owners manuals, but I cant find it anymore.
This place has a 411 owners manual listed, but it says "by VW" so I could be mistaken.

| I was on a 'book' site, maybe amazon. It had listed the Owners Manual for a 412. Ordered it. Over the next several months I received notices that it was on back order, still on back order, still..... So after about four months I cancelled. I kind of doubt they are still in print |

| I believe Ray Greenwood has picked the 411's/412's there clean of most of the good parts. |

You are wrong in your beliefs. There is a 411 with a missing front clip, but is otherwise complete. Then there's the 412 that is buried amongst the Type 3's.
I won't even describe the two Things that are there. Suffice to say one of them has four doors. |

We have a winner. Yes, there are two (2) Type 181's. I don't know what all is salvageable. One is under thick weeds, and the other has two floorpans from other cars on top of it. I'd take them home, but I don't have enough money. I'm concentrating on Ghia stuff. |

| I know what a "Thing" is, just wasn't sure why you were bringing it up in relationship to 411/412's. |
