What window latches in what position use these?
What years were they used?

I believe my '55 Kombi, an original 6 big-spoon popout Bus, has them on the 2 rear most popout window latches only. I think this was correct but do not know for sure.

I believe my 61 westy used them only on the rear most popouts also. I remember the stamping of the sheet metal of the rear mounts being different on earlier and late split buses for some reason?? around 64 perhaps? Maybe I'm off, but I recall that for some reason.

Have them on most if not all of my popouts on my deluxe '63...Would have to look again to confirm.

my 60 standard only has them on rearmost pop-outs, it has mid-size spoon latches, but I think they are not original to the bus. it looks like the other 4 pop-outs have a similar piece welded into the body of the bus, but threaded. On all the 59-67 busses I've owned the spacers have only been on the rear.

Had them on my parts 66 and now on my 65. I forgot to mention that it's only the two most rear ones on my bus too.

Two rear most on my '67 have those.

believe they were used only on the rear most pop outs... not on the front ones.. the buses that had more than two pop outs the triangular bit the latch attaches to on the forward ones is raised into the bus, eliminating the need for the spacer.

pop outs my 58 only has rear pop outs, the 65 has 6 and the front

Are these spacers always chrome or were some painted? They are missing from my 64 kombi.

These loose unthreaded spacers for the 2 rear pop-outs were plated.

The welded-on threaded ones used for the other windows were painted to match the interior from what I have seen.

Thanks, Found the spacer.

I my left rear popout doesn't feel as nice as the others when latching. This missing spacer is the likely cause.

These are stainless.

These appear to be plated.
