| I know that the Type 4 block is the same block used in the Porsche 914. My question is this: will a 914 FI set up transfer to a VW Type 4 long block? |

I don't see any reason why not. I think the 2L is a little wider than the 1.7 and 1.8, so there might be a difference in the runner lengths for the intake, but besides that, it should be a direct swap.
Oh yea, the 2.0 has a 3 bolts where the intake mounts to the head as opposed to four bolts on the 1.7/8. |

| So if it is a 2.0 FI set-up, some modification would be necessary, otherwise, if it is off of a 1.7 or 1.8 914, it should just slap on it..... right? |

| I am by no means an expert, but I do have 2 914's and more type 4 engines than tye 1's, and as far as I know, it should be a slap and go project. |

Here's a link you might find useful for the FI system.
