On the inside of a split, right below the rear window is sheet metal stamping of a horizontal bar with one upright in the center. Is it older splits or standards that have three upright stampings? And when? Thanks!

Check the last couple of pages in Splitsville, if I remember correctly, the KDFs had 3 upright stampings..but check the other thread for reference.

Does anyone know the date? I believe they changed at mid-'49. Who's got an early '49? Thanks Germanpride.
