those adjusters give you 4 inches of travel dont they? If you take out the bolts from the adjusters will it go all the way down? I am assuming you have l/k beam. If you got ball joint the ball joints will bind, and that when you need long travel ones.....

I would look at moving the adjusters around a little, which will give you more adjustment towards the ground. Good luck Aggro...

If you build a beam make longer shock towers a guy built mine in alabama made custom shock towers so it uses stock shocks flipped tierods and can drop to 3 and 3/4 inches off ground without dropped spindels... :D

You have a link pin or a ball joint beam? A link pin beam as the top shock mount in the same manner as the lower one(horizontal bolt). Ball joint beams have the shock mount at the top with a vertical stud.
At any rate, ball joint beams are limited in travel by the ball itself.
King and Link pin beams have a snubber sticking out between the upper and lower arm that the lower arm will come in contact with sooner or later.
Sadly the ball joints do bottom out early. The link pin beams will go atleast to the point of the arm contacting the snubber, even with the rubber block removed.

With no fenders on, drop spindles, berg adjusters, tie rods flipped, my car is low but not as low as I expected. Is there anything that can bind preventing it from dropping more? when I push down, there is no downward travel but the car is still not slammed. Any thoughts?

I dont know what type your beem is but if ball joint thay will max out or bind at bottom of travel, or your shocks mite be bottomed out. Ok I read on, your sus. is stiff because your leaf springs are now 2.5" shorter on each side thirfore less distance to twist, no big deal the only way to get it lower is to cut out more of the adjester slots at the bottom or pull smaller springs and shim the gaps buts can be dangerous. Just remember you will soon be hitting your head light buckets. We slot out adjesters all the time, and it slam's thim, dont forget caster shims .....scott of Franklins VW Werks!
