Dan, I have to agree with westy your springplates are on the wrong side. Here is a pic of mine, I did this myself. Like I said the trailing arms from a 1974 do not work with the dual plates. I had to use 2 bolts like yours but now that I have the right arms everything lines up.

looks to me like something might be fishy at the pivot bolt. Hitting the rear of the arm with a hammer probably isn't gonna bend the arm.
Also, did those shocks come off of the landing gear of wonder womans invisible jet, or did the guy not put shocks on the car?
I also think that it would be in your best intrest once you have it straightend out to drill and install (or flat out do away with the double plates and go back to the way it was) and get a 3rd bolt in. Whose to say that it was straight when it left he shop and it just got knocked out over a bump because there is nothing there to keep it stationary?
Now rember, its all fine and dandy to have it sitting on the stops except for the fact that your insides are gonna get beat to shit offroad, heck even over speedbumps! |

I think I'm gonna go back to the way it was. I'm going to take out the urethane and put in some rubber. I'm thinking about going with the limiting strap setup and cutting off the stops.
where can I get some desent straps? |
