| Last weekend at the Barstow poker run I found this jump and got a little carried away. Ok, alot carried away. I hit this jump numerous times with no problems other than i found out i need stiffer springs in the rear. Yesterday while cleaning the mud off the car i noticed that the rear horn on the pass side is starting to split. Now the car does have a support rod welded to the horn that comes down from the cage in the rear but the weld is pulling on the horn. So my question is do you think i should weld the horn back together and repair it or would it be better to cut both horns off and fabricate a new mount system all together? Thanks! |

| I've heard about that problem before in the book BB&B. Do you have any pics for us to laugh at? j/k. But pics would be nice to see how far it is split. If it's just a little then clamping the horns to relocate them to their correct location and welding them back together should do the trick. Use a mig welder. I tried it with a dc arc and little 6013 rod and they're a little hot but can be done. |
