alright here's the deal. a while ago my 73 super started lurching when in gear. i was told it was probably a bad front mount. changed the front and rear mounts and it helped a lot but it still is doing it some, not really bad but is still annoying. it only does it when i put the car in gear and accelerate. i put a new clutch on about 300 miles ago and used a clutch alignment tool and recently adjusted it. is this subtle lurching a sign of a worn out transmission or something stupid i'm overlooking? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

| Lurching usually isn't the sign of a tranny going bad. Is it making any noises? |

| Did it act that way before you changed the clutch? Did you change the clutch disc, plate, and TO bearing all at once? Lube the gland nut bearing while it was all out? Sounds like a clutch problem - try readjusting it again, maybe just a hair tighter... |

Check the bowden tube that bolts to the side of the tranny too. Your clutch cable runs through this and can cause similar probs when not secure(did on mine).
Hope this helps 8) |
