| do the 55 ovals have the jack holder in the spare tire area like the older bugs? There is no sign of my'55 oval ever having a jack holder |

no jack holder in a 55. if you see a jack holder in a 55 it probably has been repaired with later parts

| horatio is pulling your leg. you will/should find 2 ridges which position where it get spotwelded to inner fender. even my zwitter had the bracket. |

i am not leg pulling. I would bet the zwitter had a later clip installed. a zwitter never had a jack bracket. nor should a 55
