I was driving home from school the other day, and I came to a yield sign to get on the freeway, as no one was coming, and it was a relatively easy turn to take, I did not slow down. It was also uphill. However, as I was doing so, my Oil light turned on for a second, and then off. Being nervous, and not wanting to ruin my engine, pulled over, turned the engine off and waited for the oil to collect back in the sump so I could check it. It was just a few millimeters away from "full" so I put a little in, and went on my way. Later, I hypothesized that perhaps all the oil in the sump had collected to one side away from the scavenger, hence the drop in oil pressure. Is this possible? Thanks. |

Yeah its possible. The wire to the sending unit grounding out or a sending unit with a lot of crud on it is even more possible. |
