I know there are threads of this nature all the time, but here goes.

If my oval is a bare shell, no wiring, interior, no pan, no vin plate.
Other than the heater vents being up by the firewall, are there any sheet metal differences that would indicate a year model.

Thanks

Is the vent round or rectangle
If its rectancle it a 56
if its round its 55 or earlier

rectangular... where there any 57s produced that you guys know of with the vents up front?

57 they went back, closer to the seat
If its up front and its rectangle then its a 56
There should be numbers stamped right above where the vin plate
should be, above the brake fluid resivour

well if body no. 320358 says its a 56 then I guess I have a 56 not a 57...

Any info is appreciated...

Your car was built september of 56
So i think that makes it a 57
I think they changed model years in august
