I know there are threads of this nature all the time, but here goes.
If my oval is a bare shell, no wiring, interior, no pan, no vin plate.
Other than the heater vents being up by the firewall, are there any sheet metal differences that would indicate a year model.

| yes-the body number stamped into sheetmetal near where id tag is rivited on. BUT you need something to find this info which i have-progreesive refinements.... not everyone has this resource availible. |

Is the vent round or rectangle
If its rectancle it a 56
if its round its 55 or earlier |

| rectangular... where there any 57s produced that you guys know of with the vents up front? |

57 they went back, closer to the seat
If its up front and its rectangle then its a 56
There should be numbers stamped right above where the vin plate
should be, above the brake fluid resivour |

well if body no. 320358 says its a 56 then I guess I have a 56 not a 57...
Any info is appreciated...

Your car was built september of 56
So i think that makes it a 57
I think they changed model years in august |
