is it better to get a spun aluminum or a plastic polymear tank? I would like a clear plastic one so i could see how much fuel i have but i am a little sceptical about it. if i go to an aluminum one does anyone know how to put a view tube on it which shows the fuel level. ive seen one customly put on a tank but im not sure how to do it. thnx

i love spun aluminum. When I restored my FL250 Odyssey, I swapped out the stock piece of junk tank for a 5 gallon spun tank and it is AWESOME! maybe i just like the bling factory more on this than a plastic tank would provide

i have a clear poly tank under the front hood of my baja. clear tank equals instant gas gauge! aluminum is cool and a tube could be added with two 90 degree aluminum fittings, some fuel resistant clear tubing and a GOOD aluminum welder. one at the top and one at the bottom. double duh.

We have used the sight tube on the side of the Alum. tanks and it was more of a hassale then it was worth. Vic.
