I have a 55 beetle and the person I purchased it from said that it was the original L331 Horizon blue a 56 color. I ran the VIN number and sure enough it is a 55. When I open the glove box it appears to be a dark silvery blue. I'm thinking it might be L227 Strato Silver or L324 Polar Silver 2
Any ideas on how I can tell for sure? Does anyone have pictures of Ovals in these colors? Thanks in advance :D |

| If it's a 55 and it's a sedan and is a blue/silver color then it is L227 Strato Silver. I've got 2 cars this color, a 54 and a 56. Its one of the nicest, in my opinion! |

| Somewhere I have the old label from the company that mixed my paint for me when my 56 was first repainted. If I can find it I'll scan it and post it for you. |
