| Hey. The numbers on my bug put it somewhere in the september/october range of 1956. It's got a rag top on it, but the back side is round. It is factory, no weld marks or anything. What's up with that, did they change near the end of the year? Can't someone just change it by getting a rounded rear bolt on piece? Help |

| i believe all vw's built after august 56 were sold as 57 models, so your rag w/ round corners all around would be correct. |
