There is a 4wd Iltis VW in a local magizine for sale. What are they worth, ans rarety?

| They're rare but not very collectible/desireable so harder to sell. Very limited market that wants to buy them.Seen them from $7k and up |

| i emailed a guy in cananada about them one time... he said they'd be nearly impossible to get to pass american emissions and such... and that sucks if you ask me. I'd love to have an Iltis. |

| Buy a car because you want it, don't worry about rarity, etc unless you're a serious collector/investor. I'd look at what's wrong if any, I'd have no idea where to get any drivetrain parts for that car if it goes bad. It's a good deal but it's only worth what a buyer's willing to pay. |

| I just got off the phone with him. Hes 400 miles away, he told me he would take $4,000. Its a 1978 made in Canada with Kilometers, 52 some odd thousand original miles, new rocker panels, needs little. Its camaflage, 4wd works but not in 4wd low. Its got new parts and runs good, just needs some work, cosmetics, etc. |

Hi I just came across your post about the Iltis. If it is in fact a 78 then it was not made in Canada. The Canadian models were only made in 85 and 86, all other years were built by VW.
