| The best CB antenna you can get is the 102" stainless stell from Radio Shack, dont laugh, they are better than firestik. I have one on my baja with my cb setup and my SWRs are lower than 1.5. I also have a 48" SS Radio Shack for my CB in my van and it works great. Dont forget to tune it. :) |

If your CB does not have a built in SWR meter then you have to buy one that goes between your CB and antenna, check the reading, adjust the antenna as needed then remove the meter and connect the antenna back to the CB. The antennas are adjusted by turning a small screw at the very tip or unscrewing a allen set screw and adjusting the whole antenna rod up until you get a good reading, 2.0 or lower. Remember, never Key a CB or any radio without an antenna or you will fry the radio. Heres a cool link to CB stuff.
