| I'm looking for a decent inexpensive exhaust for my daily driver. I'd like it to exit through the stock apron holes. Has anybody had any experience with this VW set up form Mexico? I'd like a little more performance/mileage (not expecting miracles) and a throatier exhaust note. This large two tip system from VW looks like it might flow better than stock. Anybody seen/heard one? Thanks. |

I've heard from a number of people that they SUCK.
That a stock muffler is better. |

| What about those of us that want a stock style exhaust look. How it doesnt hang low for lowered cars but still need more flow for larger displacment? I always drag my dual quiets. And I'm not hot on the whole hide out mufler set up. Plus my filter pump becomes a problem then. |

| Well that settles that. As far as other mufflers that exit through the stock holes, there is the "Euro-Sport" set-up (from Tri-Mil, I think) that appears to use a glasspack. According to the VW Trends article, it does make a little more power than stock, but it doesn't even use a header-like design. The reason I stayed away form it was because it reminded me too much of the Monza system (and we all know what the general thought about that system is around here). |
