Started out with a 71 sunroof. What went wrong or should I say what went right  Wouldn't mind a original, low milage, cherry, 71 Westy

Passed up a "barndoor" for the double cab. So yes bucket a barndoor is on the wish list 8) Barndoor was a buddies and was going to let it go for what i bought the DC for. Problem is the BD was beat. The 57 was restored with 98% NOS parts over 8 years. Not sure I could do that with a BD ( and not be in debt)
Thanks for checking out!

Nice try zamboni  They look like the corvair. Buddy had one, if I remember they cost big money to restore. Hard to find parts? How about a notchback? Trying to talk my brother out of his

How about a bigger yard or maybe a garage?

Sundial,
Affordable in Southern California? The 57 "hides" in the garage. My sister is using the other half of the garage for storage. Once that is out the DC will fit in the garage. Then there is room for 2 more in the driveway and 2 more on the grass  The real plan is to marry hdsurf (<samba member) and get 5-10 acres aroun the Oak Hills area in the HD "high desert" 8)

So is the EZ Camper like the arch enemy of the Sundial? Sweet website though 8) Are you cruising to Havasu?

Sundial actually broke off of EZ and began making a better product. Read the history page. I wish I could, that's a haul from TN.

Better product  Sounds like a rant to me  :P I've owned 2 EZ campers so far. Trying to buy back the first one i sold to a friend. Campers are cool either way regardless of type. My brother has 3 westys. I think the bed is more comfortable in me EZ than a Westy 8)

That's quite a stable full you've got! Towing a Puck trailer with a camper is the ultimate solution to having kids but still camping with your VW. I really like your delux too...that's what my wife wants me buy and fix up next but holy gee$$ they're e$pen$ive now!

I'm looking forward to meeting you in person either at BBB or on the drive out!

Thanks for checking it out Billy 8) I had a Puck, sold it to a friend, regretted it, found the one now on ebay for the price i sold my first one for. Not sure what I am going to do with the Puck. Kinda want to cutomize the inside and make it more "kid campable". Look preety cool behind the bus though, probably the truck. I'd stick with the DD Panel 8) I put 8 years and "LOTS" of money into making the deluxe look like it does today. Ditto on BBB. If only a few are coming to the house, we might meet you for camping. Definitely up for meeting on the 40 for the cruise out though.

Does a lifesaver count?

hdsurf Tue Dec 14, 2004 9:13 am

I was once told a Cabriolet is not really a volkswagen...a life saver is not really a ring. B4 you get any other brilliant ideas a lug nut is not a ring either. Bearing? No! Twisted up paaperclip? No! Plastic ring from bottle caps? NO NO NO! Whatever it is your trying to think of to stump me....NO!
BUT...I'll take a sweet cherried out VW Thing 8)
