If you have a Super, that is a fresh air fan. You can get to it through the trunk. There is a black access panel. Take out the screws and there it is.
Not hard to get to and remove, where to get a new one I'm not sure.
Hope that helps.

you should be able to locate a good used one... I may have a few, lemme dig around. Let me know if you need one.
You may be able to get yours out and make it work, it could just be stuck from sitting or have a mouse nest in it or God knows what... seen it all before. |

When you get it out see if it feels tight, it should spin free... then hook it up to a battery and see if it blows or not... It may not want to at first but if it is from sitting by spinning it by hand with the juice to it, it could start.
If it runs on the bench the be sure to check the power to and from the switch itself.
Also tapping on the motor housing with a very light hammer or other tool can help unstick a semi frozen motor that has been sitting. and the usual shot of wd-40 on the darn thing can't hurt.
Otherwise, unless the plastic fan is broken, or it got rained on and water into the motor, or the brushes are just plain worn out then it will be time to find a good used.
I have seen where a marine type "bilge blower" motor of the appropriate size was used/ modified as a replacement. |

Chris is yours functional? Find out if yours is working ( unless someone removed it) by taking off the cover in the front trunk and checking it and the wiring out like stated above.
Once the car warms up the fan is supposed to help draw warm air up from the heater channels and defrost the windshield. If things are hooked up right/ intact they do help alot.
schmobbin, I'll check my storage when I get the chance. Try to confirm yours is dead by bench testing it with a battery |
