Does anybody know what is up with oil squirting out of that area wehn the gas pedel is pressed? All I did is pouring a little bit more oil and that area has been spitting out oil ever since.

| Did you overfill? Why don't you have it vented towards the ground, or into a breather? |

You should put a oil breather on that..

Thanks all. Mechanic said I probably poured in the oil too fast, and that little area has a mechanism that does not allow that. I need to run the engine I guess untill the gunk is gone from that area, put a rag or something.
I'll look up that oil breather stuff too, thanks. |

More than likely you put too much oil in ( we've all done it) and that is the simple solution VW designed to help vent the case to avoid pressure build-up.
The reason it's blowing the oil all over and making a mess, is the fact that there's not a hose venting it to the ground. All it takes is about 18 inches of hose run down, venting below the motor. Or you can get a fancy filter that matches the carbs. |
