View original topic: Trunk lid adjustment?

So my hood (I mean trunk lid in the front) is not lined-up well. It is off to the left about 1/2". Any suggestions as to the best way to line this up? At a quick glance, it seem the only adjustment is front and back, but not sideways. Of course, I didn't get out a flashlight to see how the hinges mount to the body, so perhaps there is adjustment there? If not, washers b/t the hinge and hood to move it over?? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Wade

PS: I promise to have less questions when I get that Bentley manual in the mail.

the bolt holes in the hinges are a little bigger than the bolt...therefor you can loosen one side all the way and loosen the other so that it won't slip around and and just pull it towards the side where the gap is a little at a time, move it, thighten it, try and close it, loosen again, move it, tighten, try to closekeep doing it til it lines up

Thanks. Can't wait to get home and give it a try. I need to get my mind right. I keep saying hood when I mean trunk. Now I'm trying to remember if I ordered a new German trunk seal or hood seal (I think I ordered the latter, but needed the prior).

I'm still laughing my a__ off about this windshield washer bottle. Spare tire air. Who woulda thunk? Those wacky Germans. I love it!
