I have a stock ball joint beam, with stock bug shocks.
The gas tank is mounted under the hood, so I have some weight to contend with.
I would like the front suspension not feel like it is hittin so hard each time I go over a bump.
I tried taking the shocks off, but then I had a spring board for a car. Way to bouncy.
Also the shocks have no rebound left.
Any suggestions? |

new, decent quality off-road shocks like bilsteins would help out tremendously.
If you feel that your suspension is too soft, i know that sway-a-way makes stiffer torsion leaves, but they arent cheap |

| Should I get the same length as the stock bug shocks? |

| with the balljoint front end, i dont think you have much of a choice of length |

| unless you change the mount points by either adding a new upper mount or longer trailing arms, you won't be able to stuff a longer shock in there without making the ride very stiff (no travel for the shock to move through) |
