A little late to the party aren't ya?

53 0val Mon Feb 28, 2005 7:43 am

Oh, the power of the internet. Change your spots if you want to. Your history is proof enough of your dishonesty. I personally can attest to it and so can hundreds of others. Your are a cheat and a liar. You are not welcome in The Samba's classifieds and it's just a matter of time before the whole internet will be aware of your fraudulent tacticts. You can change your name and e-mail adresses but you're not fooling anybody. The people who have been in this hobby the longest know you well. Pertend to be the victim if it makes you feel better, but the writing is on the wall and everybody knows it. I am sure the people on the Strictly Vintage VW forums are liars as well. Throw this into the Rants and Raves forum and let's just see how many "friends" you have made over the years. You were "missed" by lots of folks at the LAX show. I am sure they will be waiting for you at The Classic to support your contentions.

Hey Romano,
I sell just as much as you do here on the SAMBA & all the vw show's and swapmeets and I haven't burned a single one and if I've had a problem w/ someone my communication skill's and my common sense handles that. CUSTOMER'S are ALWAY'S right!!! You talk about us screaming & yelling behind your back. Well answer the email's we all have sent you !!!!!! You didn't even have the common decency to straight tell me that you didn't want to sell the item's I won because of the low winning bid.You just ignore it then reported me as a non paying bidder!!!! You can deny that all you want but why ???? Probably don't remember because you screwed soooo many. Whatever dude!!! Stay off the Samba we don't hang with loser's on this site. Keep your ass on Ebay!!!! Keep your parts & yourself out of our side of the pond you theif. This thread I started is tainted with your stench !!!! I won't post on this thread anymore. SO DON"T BOTHER replying to crap. Start your own thread and all you'll get is the same shit and you'll look more like an assh_le!!!!

It appears that Romero has said all he wants too, but rest assured I am not through with him. I will continur to contact his bidders and warn them when he misrepresents a part. This cancer need to be cut out from the VW community. It will not be long before the German have had enough of his BS as well.

Geez Romano after reading your reply on this thread I had my wife get the violin out, as the tears were really flowing. I see many of your auctions listed on ebay, I won't bid on your auctions because of your greedy prices (your business). When a buyer has the winning bid and you refuse to honor it then you are the CROOK, it's no different than a winning bidder sending you a bad M.O. then he becomes the crook. It would seem that you don't like to be SCREWED but you don't mind throwing the SCREWS to the other party, you can't have both ways forever, it will catch up with you at some point and it would appear that your time has arrived. Get your act togather or get the Hell out of selling on SAMBA or Ebay. Try selling in your local newspaper, or has that market dried up.

Romano is a lying a$$hole. He took my money and never sent me anything. For a while he responded to my emails with progressively more stupid excuses but after a while he didn't bother inventing new ones and stopped replying all together. It's been 1.5 years now and hopfully I'll meet him in person one day

I think it's time to set up a "welcoming committee" for the Classic this summer. This pest need to be stepped on. Sign up sheets for the "committee" will be posted later.

What does Romano mean by "unpaid money orders" ?
You have to pay for them before they are printed !
:x

I hope the horn button I bid on works out. Didn't see this thread until too late. :?

Cancel your bid. If you've already sent money it is too late. But if you actually recieve the button, you've got to let us & Ripley's know because it'll be a "Believe it or not" story.

PHEW! Someone outbid me! I'll let that one go 8)

I would like to thank Restojohnny for the post pointing out "Romano" or Andre Kaiser ( as I know him) has changed his E Bay I D.
Like many others that have posted they tales, I too have fallen foul of Andre Kaiser tricks. Having read other postings, I have a very similar story.
I first bid on an item on E Bay when he went under the name Aircooled shop. I cannot remember how I paid , but the goods arrived, postage was high, but hey, the goods arrived. I then bid on smaller items and won, sent off the payments but did not receive the goods. I contacted him via e mail and he returned my e mails saying he was in the "States" or it was "crazy holiday time". After weeks of waiting some of the goods arrived, but not all. Having been very patient I send an e mail saying I would leave negative feedback, he then reported me to e bay for non payment ( sounds like this happened to other people).
To cut a long story short, I paid for the goods, he received the money, but sent only two out of the four items I won.
Somehow I don't think I will ever receive them, it's been a few years now, but sad to see he is still ripping people off. Does anyone have his picture because I am sure I have met him at Bad Camburg.

In my limited dealings with Romano, everything went smooth and the quality of the parts was excellent, but they were limited dealings.
The best way to get what you want is to contact someone directly and pay a fair price for it. The old saying that if something is too good to be true it probably isn't stands true as far as e-bay goes. Most of us probably use e-bay hoping for a good deal, but it's still a gamble. Maybe that's what makes it fun. Getting jacked is part of the game so you have to determine your limit before you play. When I go to Vegas I don't cry as long as I stay under my predetermined loss limit.
As far as Chris goes, he may be a little sloppy but he's OK after you get to know him.

Weak argument at best. What would you say if I went to your shop and arranged for you to do some work on my car at an agreed price. You did the work and I picked up the car and paid with a check. Ten minuets later I call my bank and stop payment. Is getting jacked now still part of the game? Romano is a crook and he "stops payment" all the time and just because you defend him doesn't excuse his normal behavior. If you sleep with a dog---you're gonna get fleas.

oldspeed@flash.net Wed Mar 16, 2005 11:52 pm

i wasn't defending him. just making a statement that my LIMITED dealings with him went smooth. I have no doubt that he is not 100% trustworthy. My post was just rambling that nothing in life is a for sure thing and that if you limit your risk and how you choose to deal with people, real estate, gambling or whatever, then you will be able to handle what happens. I for one am not willing to send more money than I am willing to lose to anyone that I can not deal with face to face.

I don't take checks.
