Could anyone tell me the stock specs on a 36hp cam? Lift,duration.

Julio Hello Eric From (VMR)= Vintage motor restorations

36hp Cam end plaaaaaaaay = .020-.074mm
radial run out=0.03mm
Lateral run out=0.10 mm

Back lash=.010-.035mm

at .040 lift (tc) 5 degrees overlap of intake opens and exhaust closes... exhaust is open 220 degrees... intake is open 220 degrees... this is valve timing.. overlap of exhaust opens and intake closes is (bc)75degrees.. 36 hp engine.

Gentelmen, this helps a whole hell of a lot. Thank you. I have two cams that I'm going to have checked out but I needed the stock numbers to compare. The two I have are definitely not stock so I am real anxious.
Maybe you could shed some light, the stamp on one of them looks like a cam lobe with an S in it. Kind of like superman and the other has a hand engraved H&C on the end of it? Thanks again guys.

You ought take this thread over to the "performance/engine" forum....as there are couple of tuner type guys who never get over here and know an awful lot about cams. :wink:
