Hi everybody, long time since I posted on here!

I hear rumours that someone is producing a copy of the 5 lug Mahle Gas Burner wheel...... can anybody on here shed any light on the subject???
A set would look cool on my '67 911 but the originals are hard to find and a bit pricey!

I have heard that rumor now for 6 years
i havent seen any yet. besides they wont be as light as the originals because they will be made out of aluminum not magnesium. I would find originals , My 2cents

I also heard that rumor, too. Nothin like o.g. parts, but get ready to spend acouple G's on those gas burners.

Moon Eyes (or is it flat 4?) has recently come out with more replica wheels. I would keep an eye on them. Really I can't believe no one has done the gas burner or the old porsche 5 spoke American Racing style yet. There would be a market for them, especially if made 5.5-6.5 wide rims with at least a 35mm offset to keep them under the fenders. It is just a matter of time. I may just look into it a s a business venture.

Flat-4 will be releasing the 4.5-inch Fuch early next year. According to Dave Cormack, they look incredible.

But are they forged or cast? And how much will they weigh?

When you compare real 2.0l Fuch to the repros... the real are much lighter and stronger.

I have no idea, I'm not Dave Cormack. I've never seen the wheel, I don't have any association with Flat-4, heck I don't even intend to purchase a set of wheels. Dave just informed me at the California J-Bugs show last month that Flat-4 will be releasing a copy of the 4.5 Fuch very soon and that it looked incredible.

That Glenn's tease-------I suggested that I could be the photographer but he wouldn't go for it. Hell I am so much better looking than Glenn---that girl would have all her cloths off in no time. :D

Her names Nikki. Though she opposses posing for nude pics, she has no problem actually getting nude.

Bob- If you can operate a video camera while standing motionless & hidden in the closet, get your ass over here. You'll be shooting Nikki & I in bed, on the floor, up against the wall etc... Just be sure to get me in the frames :lol:

I am writing this from my hospital bed as we speak. I was hoping to get home by Christmas, but just the thought of a naked Glenn has ruined the Holidays for me. :oops:

Update on the Flat-4 4.5's-

It seems as though there are some problems with the (I believe) pressure-cast 4.5's passing DOT regulations, so they have been delayed, or, possibly, discontinued.
Pity, they looked like the new 6 inch alloy, and they were very very nice.

All the real Fuchs were drop forged. You wouldn't want to race on a pressure cast wheel. All show --no go. :wink:
