You know it all comes down to what each person likes but when you are going for period correct who is really the expert. I have been told a few things are not correct on my car and then I go to another very reliable source and they tell me that it is correct. Who is the ulitmate guru that know's it all.
Guess it does not really matter but it is kinda funny.
I don't care I just love my cars. |

whether the two tone wheels were correct or not
if the engine tin should be matte or gloss
You know I appreciate anyone that can point out flaws that might be there but after furhter review by others they tell me that the parts are correct on the car. I don't care either way now , I am happy with the car and it stays the way it is. I am only looking for the K manifold so if anyone has a lead let me know. I know about the replicas and as a last resort am going to put one on the car but I would like an original. |

| Unless you're planning to enter your car in the Pebble Beach Concours there isn't anything more I would want to do to your car other than look at it and drive it. |

that is exactly what I am doing.
Thank you for the compliments. IT is great to be back in the community and see such beautiful cars restored.
By no means do I mean to insult you Bob S. I respect your opinion and I know that you knwo allot about these cars but the cool thing is that there is always something new to learn. |

I'll trade you my near mint 1994 Suzuki Swift for it! This bad boy was made in Canada and only has 128,000 original Miles. It will need a new interior, new paint, engine overhaul. But after that you should be golden, and you'll have a super rare, low mileage, Canadian made car! It'll make a great christmas present :x-mas:
Sorry....stupid post ](*,) . Beautiful car. =D> |

No worries Lance. :D I love your car. Leave the wheels alone if you like them. I still would paint the tin gloss and I would change the seats down the road sometime. Would I love that car?----you bet. Would I drive it---you bet? You should win every show you enter. I am glad you are having fun, because that's what it's all about. 8) |

I'm convinced that you could take a car straight from the VW factory and take it to a car show and somebody would think the found something wrong with it. Alot of people are just full of shit sometimes.
While I'm sure there are some "wrong" things on that split - which I saw at Lenny's and there are a few things --, there is the consideration of cost and parts availability when building such a car. The fact is, that car would whoop this shit out of about 95% of the cars on this site. |
