I nearly had a crash last night! I was driving a long at 60mph on a country road - yes we are still allowed over here in some places (UK) anyway the rear is standard height and front lowered with dropped spindles, it some times moves about over pot holes. So i'm driving along quite late at night and suddenly its heading towards the curb so I have to turn the steering quickly and then I get into this death roll situation where its trying to spin in the other direction with the rear axle's tipping the car at awkward angles took a few turns of the steering to settle it down again.

Anybody had an experience like that? What causes are there?

The dreaded trailing throttle oversteer, a rather unpleasant phenomenon that occurs when the go pedal is abruptly released whilst in gear. The sudden closure of the throttle can cause the rear wheels to momentarily stop, or at least slow down to the point of loss of rear tire adhesion.

Check your springplate bushings for wear , install caster shims and a camber compensator , make sure frontend parts are not worn (tie rod , ball joints?king and links , have a four wheel alignment done , watch where you are going you might spill your pint next time!!!! TROY
