hello, is this a do it yourself kinda thing? maybe theres a site thats says how? or maybe you can just tell me?

i have heard that people can do it yourself but also koch's in CA restores them. if you do it yourself, i think you use file out the cracked area, fill with putty and then prime and paint??? but am not totally 100% that is the deal. others will chime in... |

Here's a short quick how to do. If you can get your hands on a really junky steering wheel and give it a practice run or 2 on a few cracks until you feel comfortable enough to give it a shot on your good steering wheel.

I filled in some minor cracks on my wheel with POR putty. I then had Koch's (the company referred to in Cali) give it a nice paint job. It turned out real nice. Kochs is in Canyon County, CA, I think. |
