Does any one know of a resource where I can find out how close my '74 cabriolet was to the end of the production run? The VIN is 1442668484.

The listing of VINs on TheSamba.com says the serial number portion of the VIN at the end of the run was 999000, but I was informed by the Volkswagen museum that the chassis serial numbers were consecutive for all type 1s, meaning that the serial number portion of the VIN includes beetles, super beetles, ghias, and things.

Does anyone know of a resource at Karmann that would have this info?

Thanks!
